THE RED SPHERE

The Red Sphere is a book of lyrics for a series of five studio albums written and created by Robbie Gennet. The book will be released before the music has been heard, giving the reader a unique opportunity to sit with the words and their meaning before knowing a single melody. The book is imaginatively illustrated by legendary artist Skot Olson, who conjured some incredible imagery to match the words. This is an art book meant to be absorbed without music. Once the albums are released, one by one they will bring these words to life, adding the melodies to the words you know by heart.

For these albums, Robbie worked in secrecy with producer Colin Leibich (Plastic Dog Studios) and a host of amazing musicians. Drummers Ryan Brown, Christopher Allis and Michael Jerome all contributed their talents, while Robbie handled the bass, piano and vocals. For the first time, Robbie completely orchestrated this music, having taught himself to do so taking classes at Musicians Institute and working with great musicians. Acclaimed cellist Jacob Szekely and mad violinist Luis Mascaro contributed the bulk of the strings, which took multiple iterations to get right. The end result is a collection of some of Robbie’s best songs imagineered into a new, unique progressive sound. To accompany these albums, there are also two professional videos in the can shot with director Andrew Aidman, who worked with Robbie on “Come Down” and “The Camera’s On.” All things you’ll eventually see and hear- but first: the words!

I am planning on different packages for the book, including handwritten lyrics and more. Thank you for tuning in- see you beyond the static….
